The Apollo Victoria Theatre is the largest theatre in London – it has 2500 seats. It opened in 1930 and was originally a cinema and variety theatre. In 1981 it became a popular theatre for musicals, showing The Sound of Music and then Starlight Express from 1984 to 2002.

Currently showing: Wicked. Wicked opened on 27th September 2006 and stars Idina Menzel as Elphaba, Helen Dallimore as Glinda, Nigel Planer as The Wizard, Adam Garcia as Fiyero and Miriam Margolyes as Madame Morrible.

Where is the Apollo Victoria Theatre?

The Apollo Victoria Theatre is on Wilton Road in Westminster. It is just over the road from London Victoria Station and a very short walk from Victoria Underground. Wilton Road runs from Grosvenor Place (the A302) and Neathouse Place. Wilton Road also runs parallel to Vauxhall Bridge Road (the A202).
